This is a chopstick holder. Mt.fuji is carved into the wood. We use the technique know as “hikimono turnery”which means to carve or products into our derived desing or shapes.
The Shizuoka “hikimono turnery” is good at the mass production of accessories such as different tools and the funiture for the “Dolls Fastival” known as Hina-matsuri .
